Y2N inspired me to look after my daughter’s hair better. I was using pink lotion (as it is good for my mixed hair) and was using it on my girl’s hair, too but her hair wasn't growing. My mum (who’s Black Caribbean) told me not to bother as some hair doesn't grow. Then, I saw your daughter's hair and was inspired. You listening to my story and then sharing your story was helpful because it made me feel less guilty and comfortable knowing that you’ve had a journey to get your hair to this point. The questions were helpful to make me think and reflect on how I manage my hair even after the conversation we had I think giving me action points and talking through the process of what I should do, or could do to look after my hair was great! And even some of the talk about total well being was enlightening.
